My new Calming Creative Space!

So of course when you move into a new house everything is BLAH contractor white.  I have to tell you from a creative stand point it is not at all inspiring.  So I decided to change that.  I would come into here make a birthday card and end up organizing and looking for stuff.

I didn't take as many before shots as I could have.  I honestly almost didn't take this one.  So it's just a little peak at the boring "barely gray" walls.    Then on to the wonderful transformation.  I feel like I will finally be able to be creative and accomplish something.

I added a new fun dresser from Ikea.  Joan finally has a nice place to hang out.  It is the most perfect and fun color.  It will work really well for concealing the large quantities of stuff that I have.

My work space is now all clutter free because of my new peg board.  It is going to be so nice to have so much space to be able to work.  Maybe I will get more done to share with all of you.

I never in a million years would have imagined that I would have space left over on this board.  Making the board was so much fun.  I love projects that my hubby helps me with.  The miter saw scares me so he came in hand there.  I adore the combination of the red and turquoise, it is so fresh and fun!

My last bit of organization comes in the form of an Ikea bookshelf that I robbed from my hubby.  I think it looks pretty good.  It is so nice to know where everything is and to have everything so accessible.

Now to get off this computer so I can craft the most amazing wall art to finish this room perfectly!  Be on the lookout later this week!

Happy Labor Day everyone!

Oh How time Flies...

Especially when you are having fun!  I have been so busy the past year with....well, with Life! Here is a brief "catch up" of what has been going on since we last were together.

Last October John and I were married in Harrisburg.  I cannot believe that it was already almost 11 months ago!  It was an amazing and beautiful day!  Will re-live that in a post sometime soon!

We waited until February of this year to go on our honeymoon.  We went to Cancun, Mexico.  It was amazing!  I think about being there almost everyday!  Waking up and eating breakfast and then laying in the warm sun all day with people waiting on me hand and foot.......Sorry, daydreaming there for a minute!

I even woke up at sunrise one morning.  Can't beat this shot!  It was the most calming and beautiful moment of the whole trip for me....John was sleeping.  It was me, the ocean, and the sun.  Amazing!

In November of 2011 we signed paperwork and began the building process.  In March of this year we moved into our very first house.  We are both very proud of ourselves.  I can't wait to share the painting, decorating and projects of making this house our home with all of you!!

I hope I still have a few readers out there!  I am back and happier than ever!  I have missed you all!

Baci....

So as some of you know...I have a dog. His name is Baci and he lives at his Grandma's house with the big dogs. Baci is a very spunky little Cairn Terrier. I found this video today while looking for pictures of my best friend Lacey who passed away our Junior year of high school. It was a sad process but this video brightened my day. I miss my friend, and I hope all my classmates have fun at our 10 year reunion this weekend.

Slacker...

I feel like such a slacker! I just realized I haven't been here since April! I have been so busy now that the weather outside has been nice to us! I have been keeping photographic evidence of what we have been up to and plan to share that with you later today!

We have been starting some seeds, preparing our garden plot and just enjoying time outside.

Check back later! Have some errands to run!
See you all soon!

Sunday Funday!

I love Sundays and always have. I can remember being younger and always thinking Sunday mornings were always so bright and crisp. I still feel that way now...It seems the air is cleaner and easier to breathe on a Sunday Morning. I haven't posted in a while and thought I would share some things that have been going on.

Yesterday we went to our favorite local Farm Market, Paulus Farm Market here in Mechanicsburg. They have chickens and goats and sheep and pigs and they have the sweetest names! The cow above is Braveheart. They are beautiful Scottish Highland Cows.

These 2 are Gracie and Ina. That hay sure is tasty! We have been itching for the weather to warm up so we could go see all the newest additions to the Farm. It seems there are sweet babies popping up everywhere!

Above is Mom, Apple and her baby Pie. Now that is a pretty sweet Combo!! Pie didn't move around much but it was a lot cooler yesterday!

The chickens are always fun to watch. I think it is quite funny to watch the rooster strut around and all the hens to just turn and walk away. This Farm Market has wonderful baked goods and produce and flowers too. We purchased a 20lb bag of Potatoes and John bought me some Ranuculus!

The Ranuculus is a lovely purple and yellow. They are so sweet and delicate. For now they live out on the "Salad Table" during the day and in our storage locker at night so they don't get frozen.

We planted Spinach and a variety of lettuces. Only the Spinach have poked their little heads out to say Hello so far. I Love Spring!

While outside the little kitty cat, Stella wanted to come out so badly! So we harnessed her up, yes she has a harness and we let her have her first outdoor adventure of the year!

She has to wallow and get nice and dusty before she can venture out into the grass. When she does walk out on the grass she walks low to the ground. She Loves to be outside so much! We usually don't let her out much once it gets really warm because of the high tick population in the field behind our house.

So I hope everyone has enjoyed this beautiful weekend! I will try to do better with more posting! See you all soon! Have a,wonderful Sunday!

Happy Spring!

March 20, 2011 The first Official Day of Spring! I never fully appreciated the first day of Spring until I moved to Pennsylvania. I guess it's because down south there isn't really a "spring".

First Day of Spring means Free Italian Ice at Ritas! I had Cranberry and it was sweet and tangy at the same time. John had Blueberry, it had actual blueberries in it! If you have never had Rita's you need to!

It is still a bit chilly here but we are warming up a little. My favorite part of warm weather is opening all the windows and doors! That is Stella's favorite part too! She wanted to come outside so badly!

We went today to buy soil and flowers. I put in for a few nice pots for the front of the townhouse to brighten it up a bit. Ceramic pots are really expensive! I found one I liked and it was $120!!! We went to a local discount store called Ollie's (Think Big Lots) and they had these amazing pots! We got 3 Ceramic pots for $40!

John went for a bike ride and I planted flowers! I love these sweet little mini Pansy faces! I will definitely enjoy them while I can!

This flower is a new one I haven't seen before. I of course did not get the pot that had a tag on it....So I have no idea what it is called!

I hope everyone enjoys the first day of Spring!!
